Discoveries: Old & New

Hiyyyaa  readers! I hope everyone has had a wonderful day, and if you didn't have a wonderful day ask yourself why you robbed yourself of one. This week has lead to many new discoveries. For example, there's a young tree in my backyard that has a large webbing surrounding many of it's branches. Inside the webbing about fifty little larvae dwelled. After doing some investigating, my brother and I learned that it was a silk from a family of silkworms (thank-you WildKratts for giving us the prior knowledge lol). And that was just one of the small discoveries! What did you discovery this week?

I've also started playing my flute again (mostly just scales and warm-ups), and I discovered how much I enjoyed playing the B♭scale or the Super Mario Bros. Theme. Since we on the theme of *throw sparkle confetti* discoveries, it wouldn't hurt to mention that I had an old blog called Personal Discovery Channel. It's only about 10 posts, but they were mostly writing this exact same time last year. It's like a time capsule of 2016 Brookie lol. Check it out! (clickety clickety clickety click it!)

Here's a tiny sample of my first post from Personal Discovery Channel:

I’m a nontraditional storyteller, and I find my stories in every day experiences and personal emotions. I find them hidden in the plain sight of reality, in words that are slightly compatible. Yet I can’t seem to find myself in my stories, so I decided to keep a public diary. Of course, I could have kept a personal diary or journal, but I don’t have the push to keep one. I’ll write one entry, and leave the rest of the pages blank. A public commitment to myself seems easier to keep, so I decided to make this my outlet. It may seem a bit silly, but I want to see how I project myself personally online so I can learn more of myself. Or in other words, I want to watch me be me. So this is the beginning of a personal discovery channel, starting now…

It's pretty amazing what type of changes can go on inside a person during a year (especially in youth).    I been thinking about the blog recently, and I need some post themes/ideas! What do you readers what to talk about? Comment three ideas!

For example:
Random BB reader
1. Dinner Plans + Pics
2. Summer (later Fall) activities
3. Encouraging Messages
+4. More prompts

Let's end this post w/ some of the awesome features that every entry contains (or at least almost every entry)! First our #songoftheday!

#SOTD: Chapter 6: Ali by Sho Baraka + Change It All by SPZRKT (aka Xavier Omar now)

Everyone loves a double #songoftheday, right? And to end our #scriptureoftheday complements of YouVersion (Bible app peeps) and my sister, Gracelyn!

I've been thinking that it would be great to add how it applies to our lives and a prayer based off it (inspired my an activity my mom use to make us do). So here it goes!

Interpretation + Prayer:
The Gospel is the message of our salvation about the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, therefore it is the most important message there is. Our purpose is to spread the Gospel. Your purpose is the drive of your life, so whatever you do should be working according to this purpose.

Dear Lord,
Thank-you for saving us from our own sin and trusting us with the task to spread the word about our Savior and your son, Jesus Christ. Thank-you for surrounding us with people who are focused on the task and opportunities to share about salvation. Thank-you for letting us be lights that represent you in EVERYTHING that we do.
In Jesus name,
Amen

And that's basically what's up w/ Brookie! I hope that this post was a blessing to you:) Thanks for sharing + commenting + reading! *N'Sync music starts* Bye bye bye (bye bye) ✌
